Setting out for the Proposed construction of Girls Rehema Secondary school at Tegeta, Nyakasanga.

1. Project Overview

Recafi Team has been engaged as part of the Contractors responsible for the construction of Rehema Secondary School. The team shall provide professional surveying, setting out, and level control services to ensure that all construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

2. Objective

The objective of this scope of work is to:

• Confirm and establish site boundaries.

• Accurately set out all proposed structures.

• Establish permanent benchmarks and control points.

• Maintain horizontal and vertical control throughout the construction period.

• Ensure compliance with approved architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.

3. Scope of Services

3.1 Boundary Verification and Confirmation

The Recafi Team:

• Review approved survey plans and land ownership documents.

• Locate and verify existing boundary beacons.

• Re-establish missing or disturbed beacons where necessary.

• Confirm plot dimensions and ensure no encroachment occurs.

• Provide boundary marking and reporting where required.

3.2 Establishment of Survey Control

The Recafi Team:

• Establish primary and secondary horizontal control points.

• Introduce a permanent benchmark (BM) referenced to known control data.

• Protect all control points from disturbance.

• Provide a control report indicating coordinates and elevations.

3.3 Setting Out of Structures

The Recafi Team shall:

• Transfer approved architectural and structural drawings onto the ground.

• Set out building gridlines and centerlines.

• Mark foundation corners and column positions.

• Set out excavation lines and formation levels.

• Confirm dimensions prior to commencement of excavation.

3.4 Excavation and Foundation Level Control

The Recafi Team:

• Control excavation depths to specified formation levels.

• Confirm foundation base levels before concrete works.

• Verify footing positions and dimensions.

• Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of structural elements.

3.5 Construction Level Monitoring

Throughout construction, the Recafi Team:

• Monitor slab levels, beam levels, and roof levels.

• Provide level checks during superstructure works.

• Confirm plumb and alignment of columns and walls.

• Conduct periodic verification surveys to maintain accuracy.

3.6 As-Built Survey (If Required)

Upon completion of major stages or final construction, the Recafi Team may:

• Conduct as-built surveys.

• Prepare as-built drawings showing final positions and elevations.

• Submit documentation for approval or record purposes.
